If washing in a machine, always use a garment bag, keep your hosiery far away from zippers or any sharp adornments, and keep both the cycle and the soap as gentle as possible. When drying, lay your hosiery out on a clean, soft towel and simply roll up with the hosiery inside. Allow the towel to soak up excess moisture, then lay flat to dry fully. 

4. Roll them up – When putting on your hosiery, it might be tempting to simply pull upwards like you’re putting on a pair of pants or leggings, but what you’re doing is weakening the fibers in your hose. Rather than pulling, bunch the hosiery down by the ankle, slip onto the foot, and roll upwards evenly and gently.
