Don’t give up on your winter styles just yet but it is always wise to consider that may come next in the world of fashion. We look to Paris Fashion Week to help guide us to the next stage of our hosiery needs, the spring 2017 trend. Here is a look at some of the spring fashion trends and how your hosiery will need to deal if you want to follow suit.
1. Hosiery With Opened Toed Shoes
This is a fun one, rarely do some of these new spring trends fall directly on the hosiery but we saw many outfits centered around the pantyhose going with an opened toed shoe. This obviously exposes the entire closing of the pantyhose. What does this mean for you? Feel free to play with some fun colors. It’s a spring fashion so it’s time to start incorporating some brighter fun colors.
Basically the key here is a contrast of colors. That way it easy to see here the shoe is and where the tight is. It respectfully accentuates the straps and design of the shoe. Don’t be afraid to match a white strappy shoe to a bright orange pair of pantyhose. That contrast is awesome and shows of the intricacies of the shoe. You can also achieve this with a black and white contrast as well.
2. White And Beige
Get rid of the ketchup, there is a surprising amount of sugar in it anyway. White, beige and even yellow are back! Jackets, dresses and skirts were seen all over Paris Fashion Week in that clean and fresh feeling that only the bright yellow or white can supply. How should we match our hosiery to this trend? Well, when we say there was a trend of white outfits, we mean head to toe. Beige, tan and white have been trending for a while, as yellow is making a comeback but the new thing is the full outfit. Therefore if you are going white dress and white jacket, consider white pantyhose or tights with your white shoes.
3. Shining
You may need new sunglasses for the spring regardless of the weather. There is a very hot trend of shiny material, dresses with sequins and anything that is catching light. If your shiny new outfit calls for some pantyhose or tights, the easiest way to match them to a shiny outfit is to go the opposite. Something simple with a more matte look, less glossy. This will leave people to appreciate your outfit for what it is and accentuate the shine you are going for. As much as we love hosiery and its versatility sometimes it is just there to pull the outfit together and make it functional.
