Does anyone remember the movie in which Robin Hood and his merry men were known as men-in-tights? This was meant to be funny back when the film was released, but it isn’t very far from reality today.
Early Years
Back in the early 16th Century, tights were worn by European men, not women. We can picture King Henry VII showing off his white tights proudly in portraits. Men of nobility often wore tights that were made of silk or wool and they wore them for practical reasons, such as riding horseback and warmth. When the knitting machine was invented, men were able to wear various sock-type garments and the tights went the way of the woman.
Drama
Men in film still wore tights up through the centuries; from Fairbank’s and Flynn’s Robin Hoods, to Reeve’s Superman. Men in live theatrical roles have worn tights through the ages (and still continue to do so) as do professional male dancers. True, there are some men who wear pantyhose because they have a fetish to do so, but not all men who wear pantyhose do it for this reason.
Athletes
One of the most popular reasons for wearing tights is for athletic use. Jockeys or professional horseback riders wear tights to help them glide freely as their bodies move during a race. Those who run or bicycle wear tights in cold weather to stay warm, as do some American football players who wear them under their uniform pants. Dancers have always worn tights, and some fishermen wear them to avoid jellyfish stings in tropical locations. Even the NBA sparked controversy when some players began wearing tights under their uniform shorts.
Medical and More
Some men fight varicose veins and leg fatigue by wearing tights as they work. Many of them have remarked how much relief they have gotten since making the change. Others have worn them on long flights or long drives to avoid discomfort and fatigue. Some men wear them for support to keep up proper circulation and blood flow in their legs and many men wear them in colder months to simply keep warm.

In the past, many men had to wear women’s pantyhose because the options for men have been limited or too expensive; but due to the demand of man, that is changing. Society needs to wake up and realize men in pantyhose is not a bad trend or weird, l’ve been wearing them for years. They my legs look great and more importantly feel great. I wish manufacturers would promote them for men and produce a line for men.
Myself I buy women’s pantyhose and tights there’s more of a variety of colors and styles that accents the look of my legs. Even though I never wear openly I wear for fashion being a straight avid male wearer.
Oh yes, absolutely. I don’t know if you have a fetish or not but I do. Tights, especially glossy accents are beautiful and sexy. I am wearing Platino clean cuts and love the way they caress my legs and the sheen.
