The Expansion
Ernest G. Rice created his own design, by the 1960s they became more cost efficient and more comfortable. With the introduction of the mini-skirt, by 1970 the popularity of the pantyhose had surpassed that of stockings. By the 1980s pantyhose had become a common wardrobe must have for most women. In the 2000s, pantyhose, although different than their original form, increased in styles, shapes and colors.
